When: Day 5, bright and early in the morning
Where: Labyrinth!
What: A daring labyrinth

[you somehow land into this labyrinth with a hard thud, sending clouds of dust flying everywhere. what you're in now is a stone room that has a flickering torch placed on each wall. it smells a bit dingy in here, like what one might picture an actual labyrinth or dungeon to smell like.

there doesn't actually seem to be much worth investigating in this room, aside from a sign and three old, wooden doors before you. the sign reads:

"If you risk it all, you gain it all. If you risk nothing, you gain nothing."

somehow, very inexplicably so, you get the strange sense that the riskier you play, the better the prize.]

[it takes some effort to push the door open, but you do manage. oddly enough, it pulls itself shut with ease. you can make out a low creaking sound as soon as you enter.

you're in a long, narrow room that is probably thirty feet long, give or take. its walls are covered with green spikes—and these walls are starting to close in on you, slowly but surely. dangling up above, several feet away, is a tiny-spiked vine—leading up to some bright, unknown area—that is low enough to grab onto.

the ground is slushy with wet moss and mud. if you aren't constantly moving, you'll notice that your feet—wheels, in your case—are sinking. in fact, you can see skeleton arms sticking out from the mud, inanimate but looking as though they're reaching out for help.

however, straight on ahead, on the distant back wall of this room, is a glowing red button. but given the circumstances, would you have the time to press this?]

[For moments like this, it's time to transform. In a flash, Togo grabs her bag, pulls out her phone, and changes into her Hero form. Putting the bag on her back (not leaving her pickaxe behind), she uses the chair as a springboard and jumps, grabbing the vine at a good height. She hangs from it one-armed, a gun materializing in her other hand as she shoots the button. Let's see what happens!]

[the vine is prickly (though if you're wearing thick/strong gloves you may not notice!) and holds your weight.

most importantly, the red button you shoot gives a "ding", and puffs out a bit of smoke, before the floor completely gives out below you. the walls now seem to be closing in a little faster than before...]

[Well, bugger.

And she's lost her wheelchair. Again. Damn it.

Gloves are doing a good job, though. Gun vanishing, Togo quickly begins to climb up the vine, hoping there's an opening or something up at the top she can climb through to escape the walls.]

[the prickly vine leads you out of the room and into a bright area. for a moment it's almost too bright—but here you are, having entered through a large hole in the floor; the vine is firmly attached to the edge of this hole.

you've entered an empty greenhouse. outside this greenhouse is a dying meadow, barren as though it has been overwhelmed by extreme weather. there is a door leading outside to this barren meadow.

scattered on the ground, however, are many indistinguishable seeds, though a closer look might allow you to discern any visible differences between each one. each planter in this greenhouse has an empty, but prepared, soil bed. at the plant preparing stand, which is a table containing small and large shovels, gloves, trimmers, and various filled watering cans, is a sign: "PLANT ANYTHING AND IT SHOULD GROW." there's a bloody hand smear across this sign.

furthermore, this greenhouse seems to have been a business—there's a cash register settled in one corner. off to the side of it is a large, burlap bag that's leaking a red fluid.]

[Because nothing can possibly go wrong here, let's gather up a few seeds and set them on the planter before going to the burlap bag. Togo braces herself as she opens/removes the sack, ready to jump back if needed.]

[inside the bag you find a fresh human skull with fish where the eyes used to be. there's also fish in the skull itself, and in the mouth. tiny sardines are stuffed into the nasal cavities, too.

thankfully it does not jump out at you.]

[If she wasn't a scary story lover herself, Togo may have been a bit more freaked out.

After a brief prayer to the soul of the poor ~~bastard~~ person, Togo does the only logical thing - pick up the skull and start pulling out the fish. Hey, she's wearing gloves, and there might be something else inside.]

[the only thing you find inside this skull is more fish, sadly]

[Well, damn.

She sets the head aside, covering it up before moving to the register, trying to see if there's anything there that's notable.]

[by this brass, antique register is a small pile of cash and coins totaling up to $1.11. it also has a cash box that is slightly ajar.]

[She will not take the money, because she is a Hero and Heroes don't do that, but she will try to open the cash box and see if anything besides money is in it.]

[piles and piles of fish eggs. it seems like some fishy business was going on here.]

[What do fish have to do with a greenhouse? And why is there even caviar in the cash box? She closes it up, for now, but keeps it in view.

She moves her attention to the seeds, and picks one up before moving to a soil bed. She plants one, then waters the soil, waiting to see what happens.]

[it's not noticeable from afar, but these seeds all look different! the one she picked up and planted happens to grow, rather rapidly, into a plant that provides strips of bubblegum that smell... very off. very, very off.]

[Togo is nnnnot trying that, but she does take a couple of strips and place them into her bag. Picking up a few more seeds, she plants and waters three more, waiting for the results.]

[what grows out of one seed is a net, like what would be used to catch fish at sea. it's ingrained into the soil as it grows, but that is definitely a net.

another one of the seed grows... a gas mask! huh.

the third seed grows some more of that weird bubblegum stuff.

it seems like those are the only three kinds of seeds to be found on the floor of this greenhouse.]

[Okay then.

Togo takes the net and the gas mask; heck, she puts the gas mask on before opening the door to the outside. She assumes it's a barren wasteland for a reason, and she's not taking any chances.]

[a wise decision, wearing the gas mask! the wasteland's poor air won't get to you this way.

the barren wasteland has feather-tipped arrows, bullet casings, and many fish bones scattered about.

in the distance there are a few large holes in the ground. there's nothing distinctive about them; one is left, one is middle, and one is right. they're all large enough for a person to jump through. however, behind each one is a grave marker with something engraved on it, though it's too hard to make out from this distance.]

[Togo moves closer to the holes, looking around. The fish bones make her think this whole area used to be underwater, but that doesn't explain the bullet casings and arrows. She moves till she can read the grave markers; worse comes to worse, she'll use her powers to jump over the holes and get close enough.]

[thankfully, they can be read without getting too close to the holes.

the left grave marker reads "ashes to ashes"

the middle grave marker reads "bud to bud"

the right grave marker reads "wall to wall"]

[Well, she chose the flower door. May as well see it through to the end.

She picks the middle hole, adjusts her bag, then jumps in.]

[down the tunnel you go! and where you wind up, nobody knows.

...just kidding.

you land in the middle of a GIANT blue flower. you're now in an area brimming with life and color. the sky is a bright blue, the clouds seem fluffy, and you're surrounded by many, many other giant flowers. in the not-too-far distance you can make out a large tree.

one giant red flower has a pool of purple water. a giant yellow flower sputters thick pollen.

this all aside, over yonder there is a shrub that keeps shaking.]

[Togo is glad she kept the mask on, what with all dat pollen.

But right now? It's the bush that has her attention. She makes her smaller gun appear in one hand as she steps toward it, her 'steps' light across the large flower.]

[upon stepping closer, you can see a bright green tail of sorts sticking out from underneath the shrub... it occasionally wiggles]
