Who: Everyone
When: Day 5, bright and early in the morning
Where: Labyrinth!
What: A daring labyrinth
[you somehow land into this labyrinth with a hard thud, sending clouds of dust flying everywhere. what you're in now is a stone room that has a flickering torch placed on each wall. it smells a bit dingy in here, like what one might picture an actual labyrinth or dungeon to smell like.
there doesn't actually seem to be much worth investigating in this room, aside from a sign and three old, wooden doors before you. the sign reads:
"If you risk it all, you gain it all. If you risk nothing, you gain nothing."
somehow, very inexplicably so, you get the strange sense that the riskier you play, the better the prize.]

Re: FIRE ROOM
upon approaching the log tower, you can see the many bolts on the door. the doorknob, which is more of a handle, even has chains wrapped around it.
and just in case you can't get the idea, plastered to the door is a sign that says "STAY OUT."]
Re: FIRE ROOM
[hopefully baby is not alarmed by mao's eye starting to bleed either]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
[covers baby's ears and EXPLODES A HOLE AT THE WALL]
Re: FIRE ROOM
once inside, you find that this tower is all one floor; it just has an enormous ceiling height. books line the entirety of the walls, like an expansive private library, and since the walls are so tall there's several mobile ladders laying about. in the middle of this room, by a central fireplace, is a sitting area, set up with plush furniture.
..and sitting on one of the plush chairs is a reverse mermaid—they have a book in one foot and a cup of coffee in the other. you see, these reverse mermaids are very crafty with your feet.
despite the fact that you exploded a hole in their wall, your presence goes unnoticed.]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
yes it does.
in fact, there are pages everywhere.
good going, part-time librarian]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
the reverse-mermaid flips a page of their current book with a toe. you're still unnoticed—they're really absorbed with that book.]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Excuuuu~use me, hello!
Re: FIRE ROOM
"...how did you get in?"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
when it does, it throws the coffee cup and book to the ground.
"HOLY SHIT, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY TOWER!? MY BOOKS!"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
"You—this! What is going on here?!"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
There was a book outside that said "help me" and "MURDER" and pointed at your tower.
Re: FIRE ROOM
"Is... is that so! I seemed to have dropped one of my books out there, then. Did you bring it? Is that why you're here, to bring it back to me?"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
"Haha... it's a magical book, yes. Will you give it back?"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
[opens the book "MURDER THE FISH???"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
the fish you're referring to, however, looks especially uneasy.
"What are you writing? Hey... hey, don't do that, come on, that's a nice book!"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
Re: FIRE ROOM
"Ergh. Don't take something like that so seriously!"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
["WHY?"]
Re: FIRE ROOM
MURDERER
the reverse mermaid takes a few steps back, away from you.
"It's just a book! A magic book, but just a freakin' BOOK!"]
