Where: The Pier
What: vomit. VOMIT EVERYWHERE because some people are no good at boats.

[ Some people like Sam, who have never set foot on a boat let alone been on one over water. The rocking motion had been bad enough, but that combined with the salty brine of the sea and the sound of waves (why, why did there have to be so much water??) just totally wrecks him.

The moment the plank's set down and the confetti starts and the cheering begins Sam...runs past everyone else in the crowd, finds the nearest barrel or other trash-looking receptical....and throws up. Like, a lot. His breakfast, his lunch, even his dinner from the night previous.

And when he lifts his head he is just all sorts of green in the face, pale and sweating. Sam takes it back, he wants to go back to the end of the world. He doesn't want to see this muh open water ever again. ]

So maybe he's just weak to the sea or something? Motion sickness is definitely a thing.

I guess so. This is my first time on one of these, so--

Mm, same. I've never had the chance before. I lived in a huge city and all...

It's great, actually. Really cool too. I've never seen so much in my life.

Vampires and humans are sort of at war right now?

Vampire-- Could it be that that's a type of Hellion?

They didn't exist in my world-- [ a beat ] probably.

They're pretty normal where Mika and I are from. So maybe...you just haven't discovered them yet?

If that's the case, no one else has, either. They aren't written about in any books

[ That...is so weird to him. ]

A world without vampires. That's....that is probably ideal in my world. But it's not possible.

When you put it like that, I wonder if they're any different from hellions, after all.

Most vampires don't care about anyone or anything but themselves. But Mika, he's different.

[ or this is just yuu's bias talking. ]

Hellions don't really sound all that great, from the way you're putting it.
