What: vomit. VOMIT EVERYWHERE because some people are no good at boats.

[ Some people like Sam, who have never set foot on a boat let alone been on one over water. The rocking motion had been bad enough, but that combined with the salty brine of the sea and the sound of waves (why, why did there have to be so much water??) just totally wrecks him.

The moment the plank's set down and the confetti starts and the cheering begins Sam...runs past everyone else in the crowd, finds the nearest barrel or other trash-looking receptical....and throws up. Like, a lot. His breakfast, his lunch, even his dinner from the night previous.

And when he lifts his head he is just all sorts of green in the face, pale and sweating. Sam takes it back, he wants to go back to the end of the world. He doesn't want to see this muh open water ever again. ]

E-eh?? But I already bandaged it up myself...

It looks fine...! [ To him. ]

We're getting closer to the clinic, so you should introduce yourself to me so the doctor doesn't think you're weird for being dragged along by a complete stranger.

[a pause, because maybe she should go ahead and introduce herself first to get that taken care of]

I'm Hiiragi Shinoa.

[sugoooi]

[ It helps. And makes Sam a bit more willing to speak up. ]

I'm Sam... Sam Grigory.

Sam. Nice to meet you.

[aaannnnd she comes to a stop in front of the clinic doors.]

How are you feeling now?

Still kinda queasy... I guess a little better?

You still have that wrist injury, so—go on ahead.

[she tries shoving him past the doors—no worries, she'll follow him in where someone will be all to eager to see what they're up to, and maybe even help]

[ Again with the wrist! Sam huffs but...well, here comes some clinic staff so he's going to have to explain he got really sick on the boat. And hurt his wrist, but that's totally no big deal. ]

[don't worry, they'll take care of him just right. they'll even offer him a red, glowing potion drink and call it a stomachache reliever—which is all completely true, of course. fancy that.

Shinoa just watches, waving occasionally.]

[ Yyyyyeah, the fact that it glows? Is not a big incentive for him to try it. Sam kind of stares, rapidly shaking his head. HE'S GOOD CLINIC LADY, and of course that's when she sees his wrist and asks what all that's about, he says it's nothing etc etc, and then he gets the hands on hips and stern face-look.

So he surrenders, holding it up so she can unwrap it...and Shinoa may or may not recognize the scabbed-over bite marks made by a vampire's fangs on the area, which is a yellowish-green from faded bruising. But it did do quite a number on the area. ]

[—that is definitely something she notices, though it's weird that it's on the wrist... not completely unheard of, though. definitely worth addressing when he's done, so she waits patiently, smile still on her face.]

[ He's going to wind up getting everything cleaned up and sanitized and re-bandaged and everything, with some antibiotics for later since he's pretty insistent on no magic. Glowing potions are no.

Half an hour and he's ready to go again, sighing heavily as he hangs his arm and stares down at the new dressing. ]

I'm content. You don't seem happy in the least, though.

Because I was doing fine on my oooown... I've been looking after myself for practically two months now! [ Sam is reluctant to give up his pseudo independence! ]

I see, I see... And that vampire bite occurred in this timeframe?

Ah.... [ Man, that's the first time anyone's recognized it right off the bat. ]

How...how'd you know?? It could've been anything.

Where I come from, vampires are a real threat. For now let's just say I'm familiar with it.

Yeah! He's a really nice guy--I mean, he's kind of immature and stuff, but... [ If anyone can raise Rayflo right it is him!! Even if...they are no longer in the same world. ]

I gave it to him 'cause he needed it, not because he asked for it!
