RULES
• This labyrinth is projected to span from 10/21 to 10/31. HOWEVER! It is COMPLETELY POSSIBLE that your group can finish sooner than this! Finishing up the last day is also a-okay. This long space of time is there as allowance for people to take their time if need be without feeling rushed since progress is dependent on everyone's interactions. However, my intention is to have everyone wrapped up on the last day of October!
• Please comment to the sign-up header as soon as you can! Even if you don't intend to tag around in the mingle, just go ahead and comment so I can sort people into their random groups.
• JOINING LATE/LEAVING EARLY: You're allowed to join in late—I'll still randomly assign you to a group! On an equivalent note, you're also allowed to leave early—we just ask that leave a comment in the gameplay portion indicating that your character ~suddenly disappeared~ at some point so the other players can know. And if you DO come back to play again, your character will just magically rejoin them.
• LABYRINTH PRIZE: each character will receive a bag of treats... as well as a Halloween-inspired prize! It can vary between oddly useful to very useless. They'll also get to keep their costume.

Re: SIGN-UPS
MINGLE
overall, this is a cheap, but effectively elaborate, Halloween party. and lucky you—you're already wearing a Halloween costume!
Pumpkin Patch: There's a sign that's prompting you to take a pumpkin. However, they've already been carved with one of two faces, and they're connected to the ground with chains, so you can't actually... take one. Still, picking one up will alter your mood drastically. Some of you will find that its effect fades away (quickly/slowly) over time, but some of you might notice that it lingers for quite a while longer than that.
• Happy Pumpkin: You feel giddy—almost giggly! The smallest thing might amuse you since you're in a very easygoing mood. You still have your wits, but you might be tempted to take things a little less seriously, and with an extra ounce of jest.
• Evil Pumpkin: You feel grouchy—almost angry! You're now in the kind of bad mood where the smallest thing can inexplicably set you into a rage, and you might find yourself easily frustrated. It's very tempting to act out on this nasty attitude, even if you're the kind of person who usually keeps their cool!
Buffet Table: There's a large snack selection. We're talking stabbed peanut butter cupcakes, tasty cheese-wrapped sausage fingers, a graveyard dip, a giant bowl full of brand-name candy in which a plastic hand will harmlessly jump out and try to grab yours, and... a standard punch bowl. Not far off are tables (covered with Halloween-striped plastic tarps that don't touch the ground) set aside for you to eat at.
Punch Bowl: The delicious snacks won't have any weird effect on you, but you'll notice that the punch bowl has a silly little pumpkin-shaped "WARNING" sign which is clearly there for kicks and giggles, right? However, though its contents don't smell alcoholic in the least, it might make you tipsy or flat-out drunk. "Might" being an important word—you see, it's completely possible to guzzle down three cups of this stuff and still remain completely sober. On the other hand, a single cup might be enough to get you hammered. Everyone's experiences may vary!
Jukebox: Set off to the side, so you can presumably have room to dance, is a retro jukebox. There's a wide selection of songs available, but someone's already queued "Spooky Scary Skeletons" an infinite number of times. There's no way to change this.]
((Feel free to tag around in this before/during the labyrinth! If you decide to experiment with the simple effects of the pumpkins or the boozy punch, they CAN carry on into the labyrinth if you'd like! If you don't wind up thread one of those out, you can just handwave that your character did whatever before entering the mansion.))

Is this... supposed to be scary?
