Here's the Savior and her chocobo, casually walking around as the odd pair that they are.]

Light looks over at him, trying not to look too curious.]

Are those native here?

[Someone has never seen a chocobo before. What is this giant ostrich-chicken thing?]

[This chocobo would reply with more than a "Wark!" if he could. Lightning is just going to shake her head now.]

He came here with me.

Ah. Then he's native to... wherever your from?

Sometimes new things appear after a labyrinth, so it's always worth a look.

[noting the curiosity and pauses a moment...then points to the bandage]

What is he? And does he have a name?

The Queen offered me a task to complete in order to regain my ear. I simply have to listen to the problems and concerns of three people who wish to share them.

If you're comfortable doing that, then it would help me a great deal. But if not, then there are still plenty of others I can turn to as well.

A chocobo. And he goes by either the Angel of Valhalla... or just Odin.

Yeah. I've got a problem. These labyrinths... they're pretty damn personal on some fronts. What I don't understand is why it hurts some people, and why people like me come out unscathed. Unless all it wanted to do is try and emotionally and mentally scar me. Didn't do a very good job.

[Of course he'll sniff him! Then go back to debating chewing on your hair or not.]

Angel of Valhalla. Might just be easier to call him Odin.

That's the biggest chicken I've ever seen.

Odin? Interesting... there's an old religion where I'm from where Odin is a god, and Valhalla is his feasting hall.

Odin in my world is an Eidolon, and Valhalla was the world bathed in Chaos, where the goddess Etro once resided.

What is it?

What does the word eidolon mean in this context? And Chaos?

[considering it for a moment...]

The labyrinths seem to operate on logic completely unlike our own. Guessing their intent seems like it would be particularly...difficult.

He's a chocobo.

Eidolon's are summons, or creatures you call on to fight beside you of immense power. As for Chaos, it's what the souls of the dead fade into.
