Who: Everyone, involved in the labyrinth or not!
When: Day 12, in the afternoon—specifically, immediately after the labyrinth
Where: THE BEACH of Port Perplex, but anywhere really
What:

[FOR POST-LABYRINTH EXPLORERS: you wake up somewhere along the beach, as though you just washed up on shore. it's especially hot today, and yet, the sun bearing down on you doesn't seem to be causing your injuries any additional discomfort. in fact, the heat seems to be relieving some of your pain—you might be lucky enough to feel no pain at all. still, you should probably get some help.]

[there's some immediately observable changes in Port Perplex. you see, the ocean is a vivid aqua color now, no longer trapped beneath a thick fog that once stuck to its surface. if you look out in the distance over the ocean, you'll see a beautiful sky. the sand along the shore is now soft and warm. furthermore, there's some coconut-bearing palm trees dotting the shore. in summary, this looks like a tropical beach now!

for the next however many days, you'll be able to discover some other things, as well as participate in the festivities taking place all along the beach. it helps that your employer MIGHT have just given everyone a vacation! you see, every single one of the townsfolk are thrilled for this new development, and they're more than eager to celebrate its arrival!]

INJURIES: If your character was injured, they'll find that they're... still injured. The severity of it might be different, depending on how badly you want your character to run the risk of bleeding to death, I suppose! If your character's mouth was sewn shut, it's up to you whether or not the fishline is still there, keeping their mouth shut. If your character had another face put over their own like a mask, they'll find that the face is missing, but their own face is still covered in burns and blood.

ITEMS: If your character picked up anything, they have it outside the labyrinth! Guns, bombs, bandannas, knives... you name it. They'll all be in top condition, too. If the bomb's ever set off, it won't cause a HUGE explosion, but it'll definitely be enough to do some damage and get some attention.

REWARDS: Everyone has an "IOU" in their pocket. Just, literally a sheet of paper with IOU written on it. Sorry about that. Sucks.

MISSING BODY PARTS: Specifically Van, Mao, and Owain: you'll each find a specialized note taped to the door of your room at the inn...

I heard what happened, and I could not believe it. For you, a favor. I can grant you a new ear, an exact replica to replace the one that had been taken from you. I'm afraid that, in order to do this, in order to have the willpower that will complete this, you must please hear out the problems of at least three people with the ear you still have. It is not necessary to resolve their problems, though it would be thoughtful, it is not necessary. Listening is enough. Hear out their worries, their concerns, the things they stress—their emotional baggage, if you will. When you have completed this task, take a writing utensil and drawl a swirl on this very paper. In the moment following, your ear will return.

Perhaps, someday, we will meet.

I'm afraid that this does not come for free, a choice I did not make on my own, and I do not wish to charge you, rather, I wish for you to supply the willpower necessary to recreate your eye by observing with your remaining eye what others are capable of. Have three people demonstrate their talents, their abilities, or their prized skills, and observe carefully and understand what this means to them. You are not required to learn from it, though it would be quite intriguing, but worry none at all, you are not. Once you have done this, take any writing utensil and draw a circle on this very piece of paper, then a smaller one within. Following this sequence, your eye will return to you once more.

I cannot believe what I have seen with my own two eyes. Please, accept my favor. You see, or no, you cannot see, allow me to continue, I am able to return both of your eyes to you as good as new. Unfortunately, most unfortunately, this is not free, a rule I did not determine in order to be cruel, but a rule I determined because I will require willpower from you to make it so. All you need to do is ask three people what inspires them, what gives them hope, what keeps their life aflame. Perhaps, this could serve as an inspiration to you, but do not feel guilt if their inspirations are different from your own. Once you have completed this, tear this very paper into two pieces and crumple them into your fists. Immediately, you will "see" what you have done with your own two eyes—you will have them once more.

Perhaps, someday, we will meet.

**Note: Owain's letter is the kind that, upon being touched, will magically "insert" the words into your head—you'll hear the letter in your own voice.

ADDITIONALLY, if you find that this task drags on and you'd rather not in the end, it's TOTALLY fine to handwave/offscreen that your characters addressed some townsfolk instead. Their stuff will be very plain and simple though. Concerns like "I forgot to let my dog out last night..." and talents like "I can touch my tongue with my nose," and inspiration like "The apple I left sitting out last night." I. Yeah. Your fellow explorers could be more interesting than that. Otherwise, your characters can ignore this or put it off.

[before Zack staggers back to town for medical care, he's just going to take a moment to lie back and absorb the sunlight and thank God that he doesn't appear to be dead. There's a few bloody holes in his shirt, blood and what looks like fishline around his mouth (though it is no longer holding his mouth shut, some of it still remains), and his shoes and socks are missing.]

[Eventually, he is going to try to get to his feet and check on any other Heroes. But not now.]

[Echo wasn't in the labyrinth—in fact, she was just curiously wandering around the beach, checking out the Upgrade, before she spotted him]

... probably not. I can't tell if the sunlight is helping, or this is what going into shock feels like.

[his speech is a bit distorted from facial wounds, but he can still talk]
