[this time a horn sounds—that's right, a horn is supposed to draw your attention to labyrinths, isn't it? following the source takes you to the edge of the sea. there's nothing unusual here.

suddenly, something yanks you under.]

((WARNING: this labyrinth is going to be gross and traumatizing. i mean, your mileage may vary since every character's a bit different, but still. there's potential for torture, drowning, some psychological stuff, etc. characters are likely to be injured in some way, and some might even die—IT ALL DEPENDS!

Each person playing must comment to a group header with the rest of their group. And please answer the following:

1. GIVE ME 1-3 THINGS THAT WOULD PSYCHOLOGICALLY MESS UP YOUR CHARACTER. ...for lack of better words. At least one! It can be a memory ie specific instance, something they're afraid of, it can be a concept, a nightmare, so forth. ANYTHING. Did they betray their family? Maybe they witnessed a murder and it's left them vulnerable. Or, they're deathly afraid of spiders. If you want, you can even link me context, like chapters/videos/pics/etc so I can get in all that juicy detail. BASICALLY, whatever you want your character to be mentally "tortured" with is what we're looking at! Despite the way this sounds, your character might just be prodded and poked in regard to these things. But depending on how it goes, they might be tormented instead... or, this might not really come up! YMMV.

2. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO AVOID? The answer can't be "everything" unfortunately! Maybe you don't like the idea of threading out your character getting their eyes ripped out, if that were to come up, or you're cool with your character being faced with almost drowning but you don't ACTUALLY want them to face that fate.

3. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE? On the contrary, do you want something in particular to happen to your character one way or another? Do you wan them to lose their eyes? Do you want to make sure they drown?

4.OTHER. Any notes whatsoever, anything that applies to something I haven't listed. For example, if you'd like for me to avoid going into grotesque detail when describing things, that is a can do.

The thing about Archer is that normally he's been messed up to the maximum already, he's already seen everything that could screw him up! But this time he is from a Bad End where he died failing to protect his Master, so reminders of Rin Tohsaka and his failure to protect her would help. "Help." In general he is also messed up by situations where he can't save anyone and has to see a lot of people in distress, but he's used to that.

2. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO AVOID?
I am basically good with anything.

3. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE?
Be horrible to him.

Being completely physically restrained and/or have his body controlled against his will. Especially if it's so he'd be used as a weapon against his homeland--

Alternatively, imply that this ship sinking was ALL PART OF THE SCORE AND THERE'S NOTHING THAT CAN BE DOOOONE. Would mostly anger him than anything else but there's a point where anger paychologically messes a man up, I'm sure.

1. Well, let's be honest, the entire setting will mess with Zack. The downside of being an OC is nothing to link to, but he was kidnapped by hostile mermaids, with the expectation magic would shift him into an aquatic form. Being trapped underwater is hitting several developed phobias.
2. Add in, he's from a hidden magic setting, so he's got barriers against telling people about this. He's not a deceptive person by nature, so hiding this is hard. He's not particularly attached to anyone in the game (he's been there two weeks, after all), but playing with the idea of deception/deceiving others about his nature.
3. Also, good old imposter syndrome. Zack isn't some kind of traditional hero: he's had one experience with magic and he needed a rescue after he got in over his head (no pun intended) and generally was convinced he made it worse for himself and the person he was trying to help. So, seeing others in trouble when he doesn't have the tools to help.

2. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO AVOID? While some underwater/drowning stuff will be fun (for me), too much and Zack might not be able to leave the water afterward. Also, this is a character whose worst injuries have been childhood scrapes and falls, so he doesn't have a particularly impressive pain tolerance.

(I'm also not sure I want to deal with the spiritual ramifications of coming back from the dead. Zack is a comic book nerd, so has been exposed to the revolving-door afterlife, but he's still pretty religious.)

Generally speaking, Owain has come to terms with his biggest traumas, but they can still do a lot of damage to him psychologically. His biggest traumas are: seeing his father, Lon'qu, take arrows and die saving him and being unable to keep his mother, Lissa, from dying. He also has some lingering issues from being on his own for two years and not knowing if his friends who travelled back to the past were alive or dead.

Anything involving DARKNESS or especially her loved ones (Terra, Ventus, Eraqus). Bodyjacking is a sore spot for her--she's seen Ventus taken over by his literal dark other half and there was that fight with Terranort. Basically anything that involves her own perceived failure--being unable to save the worlds. So helplessness, essentially, is a huge trigger for her.

I can't really think of much! Other than getting eaten and eye trauma cuz that's a no-go for me OOCly.

Murdering someone he likes, drowning, being unable to save people. Drowning isn't a major fear and Yuri isn't really afraid of dying, but the idea of being helpless or being responsible for the death of someone he cares about is anathema to him.

Seeing her sister (the big one) and her beloved friends die and she can't stop it from happening. She's also got a huge issue with abandonment, which makes her break down if it's extreme enough. Also being given no choice in her own life and being forced to do something she can't fight against. (The last one she'll react in a violent way to)

Getting eaten, eye trauma, or self-harm. No-go oocly for those.

Luke has severe survivor's guilt– and just a slew of guilt issues in general. He struggles with a lack of self worth and viewing himself as less than human. Surviving something that hurts or kills those around him would definitely mess him up, especially if it's something he feels like he could've prevented/saved people from. Being manipulated by someone or something he thought he could trust would do a number on him as well.

I'd love to feel challenged as a writer and to be made uncomfortable, but nothing specific comes to mind. Do your worst!

1) From the outset, I can tell you that poor Nessa can not swim. She hadn't even seen the ocean before coming here, living high in the mountains, so this whole situation is instantly completely foreign and unsettling for her, to say the least. She is not physically or psychologically prepared for dealing with water on this kind of level.
2) Nessa has been indirectly responsible for several, uh, murders. cough. Or more aptly, she has allowed her girlfriend-assassin-political ally Shanar to eliminate certain problematic elements for her. As such, she has complicated feelings about the blood on her hands, and specifically having other people bloody their hands so that hers can remain "clean". Anything touching on that will get her heckles up!
3) Wasting time trying to meet impossible standards! Nessa spent actual years of her life trying to reach an unattainable standard to please people who were never going to be satisfied—she's come to terms with that now, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a difficult topic for her.
