[Today the labyrinth opens again, this time as a golden gate that glitters in the sunlight (or moonlight depending on time shenanigans). When you approach, the gate's heavy golden doors open to the sound of blaring trumpets as a red carpet rolls out to you.]

[ oh geez okay so it's not been three years thank god. ]

... why?

...it was like the quickest three years of my life.

Three years?

You experienced being away for three years, Yuu-chan!

[ Considering how painful being apart for 4 years apart was... just the idea of it is unbearable for Mika. ]

I didn't say it was enjoyable.

[ Closes his eyes like he has a headache. Yuu is taking this all too easily. ]

[ He's really not, though. ]

It was complicated and I had to act like I knew what I was doing when I didn't have any idea at all. I couldn't do three years like that again.

Hopefully you won't have to. Let's go back to the inn, Yuu-chan.

[ translation: yeah i probably forgot to mention it. im my own brand of stupid. ]

[ WHY DID YOU THINK MIKA WAS SO WORRIED??? For now though, he'll just shake his head and guide Yuu back to the inn. ]

[ FINE, back to the inn. He probably needs to clean up and go to bed but...why do that. ]

... Yuu-chan, you should take a bath.

[ ... okay well, yes. ]

I guess I could use a hot bath or something.

You go on ahead. I'm going to talk to the innkeeper about us sharing a room.

[ LIKE IT'S THE MOST NATURAL THING, TBH. ]

[ ....well, okay. You go do that while I take a shower. It's not like he would try and refuse it anyways. ]

[ Mika was ready to fight about it if Yuu did refuse, because after only two days and already having a large amount of separation anxiety, there's no way he was going to accept anything less. ]

[ he's still toweling off his hair when he is done showering, assuming Mika is still in the front lobby area where they came in. ]

[ He is! And he's succeeded in getting the a double-bed room, even. Though Mika has to pause when he sees Yuu, eyes lingering a little too long on the bare clean flesh of his neck, before abruptly looking away and holding up their keys. ]

I've moved our stuff into the new room, Yuu-chan.
